economy of scope

I am taking an economics class and its talking about economies of scale and scope.  And I realzied I am an economy of scope.  Basically where you save money for producing many products.  When I make a beanie and scarf set, im saving money becuase i can use the same yarn and same knitting needles.  Rather than me having to go out and buy a new set of needles becuase i decide i want to make beanies, I already have them becuase i make scarves, and i also already have the experience, rather than going somewhere else and having them train me etc.  Im so excited that im putting my school work into my own real life YAY FOR ME!

Bloggers and Kids

I was randomly looking through blogs, and 9 out of 10 had to do with kids!  I really don't know, i thought that was crazy!  I thought everyone just blogged about their personal opinions and politics, i didn't realize they shared pics of their kids, family, and just what they do every day!  thats crazy to me!  maybe i need to just write about what i do every day!

Support Handmade In America!

With everything that is going on in America and the world these days people are really stressing the fact that it is so important to purchase items made in the USA, to help support our jobs here at home.  There is no better way of doing that than to purchase items on ETSY.com.  Etsy.com is like ebay, but only for handmade items.  And to support your local artists in your area  search for your city on this etsy map! http://www.etsy.com/shop_local.php?ref=fp_nav_local
There are so many Talented Artists on this website!  And some of them have no other source of income becuase of layoffs and job losses, and even at that, sales are declining for most sellers on etsy.  Show this website to your friends!  Buy items as gifts!  Or just treat yourself!  Everyone on etsy is so nice and most are willing to customize items just for you!  Just ask, all my experiences with fellow shop owners on etsy has been nothing short of amazing!  Customer Service is always number one!  Thank you so much for reading my blog post!
